"Charles H. Eddy Of Josephine, Dies
Charles H. Eddy, 69, a retired Josephine druggist and a resident of that community for 55 years, died at 9:15 o'clock Saturday morning at a Greenville hospital. He had been ill for several months.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the Methodist Church in Josephine, with Rev. Preston Atkinson of Josephine and Rev. F. A. Lancaster of Garland, officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Caddo Mills.
Pallbearers will be: Elwood Johnson, Frank Smith, W. A. Middlebrook, Preston Yeatts, Doug Helms, Ralph Abels. Honorary pallbearers will be Houston Dobbs, Lee Adkins, M. C. James, Babe Sebastian, O. R. Hunter and Jimmy Holmes.
Arrangements are in charge of the Royse City Funeral Home. The body will rest at the family home in Josephine until the hour for the service.
Mr. Eddy as born on Nov. 4, 1886 in Arkansas. He came to Texas and located at Josephine in 1890 and for 38 years was engaged in the drug business in Josephine.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He was married to Lilly Welch in 1907.
Surviving are his wife and two sons, W. E. Eddy, Dallas, and D. H. Eddy, Albuquerque, N.M.; five brothers, J. H., Sylvester, and A. C. Eddy, San Antonio; Roy Eddy, Kennedy and Joe Eddy, of Crowell; and four grandchildren."
